Pretty Lake Vacation Camp

Pretty Lake Vacation Camp
Pretty Lake Vacation Camp (PLVC) has been a signature project of the JLK since the 1930's. PLVC provides a residential summer camp experience for over 700 children in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades each summer — free of charge.

Cinderella Project

Cinderella Project
The Junior League of Kalamazoo, in collaboration with Memories Bridal and Evening Wear, provides gently used gowns and accessories, free-of-charge, to referred junior and senior high school girls in the Kalamazoo area.

 

Special Delivery
Special Delivery is a project designed to promote literacy in budding readers. This program provides second graders with books and supportive materials to engage and encourage them to read to parents and siblings and to build literacy skills.

Plant the Playground with Able to Play
The JLK continues its commitment to the Able to Play boundless (barrier-free) playground by planting additional plants and shrubs to enhance the playground.

 

Done In A Day
Done In A Day focuses on short, intensive community projects that are completed in a single day.

 
Hospital Hospitality House - Past Project

Hospital Hospitality House - Past Project
The Hospital Hospitality House of Southwest Michigan was established by the JLK in 1985, in collaboration with Borgess Medical Center and Bronson Methodist Hospital to provide lodging and emotional support for those with loved ones in the hospital.

 
Young Women for Change - Past Project

Young Women for Change - Past Project
This leadership program, designed by the Michigan Women's Foundation, teaches 14-17 year old girls the power of philanthropy.
