Back to School Health Fairs

For the fifth year, the Junior League of Northern Virginia (JLNV), in association with our community partners, is sponsoring Back-to-School Health Fairs in Alexandria, Herndon, and Leesburg for uninsured children in need of physicals and immunizations to enter school for the first time. Last year at our Back-to-School Health Fairs, we provided access to free health care for more than 300 uninsured children. This year our goal is to assist more than 400 children. Now Accepting Applications for New Members

Join a diverse group of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The JLNV is accepting applications for the 2010-11 League year, with orientation beginning early Fall 2010. The deadline for submitting an application is August 31, 2010. Learn more at one of our Information Sessions, Meet and Greet Happy Hours, or Coffee and Conversation gatherings being held throughout the summer. Become a part of the JLNV and make a positive impact on the lives of Northern Virginia children. Whether your passion is childhood obesity; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education, or enriching the lives of children living in homeless shelters, the JLNV has something to offer highly motivated and energetic women of all ages.
