Using all available contacts and resources from the local to the national level, this committee maintains an updated database of scholarships available to area high school students.  In addition, it keeps a filing cabinet full of hard copies of scholarship applications and helpful information about a myriad of topics including essay writing, different colleges, and choosing majors.  The committee speaks with classes in the schools to publicize the Clearinghouse services, in addition to providing high school counselors with self-promoting publications.  Throughout the year, the committee opens the clearinghouse office to assist students in their quests for scholarship assistance.  A great deal of the Scholarship Clearinghouse's success is thanks to a generous grant from the Helen Greathouse Foundation.
