In operation since 1934, the Thrift Shop is owned and operated by the JLS. All profits benefit the JLS community service projects and grants. We welcome donations of clean and in good condition clothing, household items and small furniture. Click here to learn more.

· Was founded in 1929 as the Summit Junior Service League and members have contributed over a million hours of community service.- Is one of over 290 Leagues in the United States, Mexico, Canada and the United Kingdom belonging to the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc., totaling over 170,000 members. - Is focused on advancing the interests of children and families in and around the communities of Berkeley Heights, Chatham, New Providence and Summit, New Jersey.
· Has returned over $3,000,000 to community in the form of grants, projects, programs and scholarships. These funds are raised primarily at the JLS Thrift Shop, located in Summit.
· Has a Community Project Endowment Fund which surpassed its goal of $50,000 in 2005. Community projects will now benefit from the interest generated.
Established in 2003, in partnership with the Interfaith Council for the Homeless, the first SAFE House for victims of domestic violence in Union County. The house was made possible by a $500,000 gift from the JLS to the Interfaith Council
